What do you guys use the lanyard hole in you knives for? I mean the large fixed blade variety. Do you tie it to your belt like a pistol, your arm, or is it just a place to keep a few feet of 550 cord?

I make a loop to put around my wrist while working with the blade. Especially heavier choppers.

I lost a new kabar once when fishing in deep water, so I always use a wrist lanyard.
