Does anyone know anything about these knifes? I have two of them a bayonet and a smaller carry knife. The reason I am asking is because they are the best all around knives I have ever owned but I never see them mentioned here. Is there a problem with them that I dont know about. I have only had them for a few months and they have only seen light use so far. If you want to check them out go to www.Extremaratio.com.

I think they are great knives. I have an Extrema Ratio M.P.C. folder and the thing is an absolute tank. Not a very good knife for fine cutting chores as the edge is extremely thick, but It is immensely strong and holds a good edge. It is a 1/4 inch thick lockback of N690 cobalt steel and weighs more than my Keltec.  It also has a rifle style cross bolt safety that basically locks the lock in place. I can't see this lock ever failing. I believe it to be one of the strongest folding knives in existence. As for their fixed blades, I have handled them but never used them. I expecially like the Col Moschin, very nice blade shape and comfy in the hand. Some of their other blades look a little funky, but Im sure they are great users.

these have been turning up a lot on 'closeout' and 'sale' lists on various knife sites. i've never had one personally, but i think they probably got the 'tactical' tag, and have probably dropped respect in the eyes of the knife community because of it.

Might be because they lost their original U.S. distributor and they never caught on. I know that they have a new distributor now as mentioned above.

Yup, there are not many reviews out there. Cliff Stamp from Bladeforums recently did a review on the Fulcrum folder. He basically said it was pretty much indestructible, but it did not cut very efficiently due to how thick the grind was. I think he was going to reprofile it last I read.  Here is the review.

There are a couple more reviews on their folders out there, but I have'nt seen any on their fixed blades. To find out what happened to their original U.S. distributor, search for Dark Ops or Dork Ops on Bladeforums. Basically, ER got screwed.

Yup, they basically copied the ER designs and put their own twist on them. Not even near the fit and finish and quality of the original ER designs.
