Hi all,
I recently won a Gerber knife at a shooting match - it did not come with a box or any paperwork and I was interested in it's background.  I am not a collector and profess to be relatively knife ignorant.
It was described as a Pre Production Pilot's Survival Knife.  It is marked "Pre-Production"  and "1 0f 200" on the blade.  Came in a cordura / hard molded sheath with a built in sharpener that literally goes through the sheath.  Blade is aprox 6" x 1.5" with 1/2 of it serarated, black, with a soft black rubber type grip - the pommel(butt end) appears to be metal and is shaped somewhat to a chisel point with a hole through it  for a lanyard.
I know, I know - useless with out pictures...... I get some and post em.
Any info on these "pre-production" markings?  The model? (isn't marked on the blade) etc

Thanks in advance

May be a little late, but the latest issue of Tactical Knives magazine has an article and review of that knife.

Thanks - I'll see if I can get a copy - I emailed Gerber and got very very limited brief responses - almost to a point where I had to pry info out of them.
