Has anyone seen the fasteners on the Microtech knives? I have a MTX2 and  I need to remove the pocket clip. It has a special fastener, like a 3 prong and one in center. Where do I get this tool?hug.gif

They look like tamper-proof tri-wing screws, pretty common in aircraft. I have a bunch of those in my toolbox from my airline days. If you have a magnetic screwdriver you may be able to use a tri-wing bit. As to where to find one, I have no idea. Google tri-wing bit and see what pops up. I'd be hesitant to buy something online though if you're not sure it will fit. Snap On or MAC may have those bits, or if you're lucky, maybe even Sears, Ace Hardware, Lowes, or Home Depot. Good luck.

pvkknife.com.  They have them.  Look in the microtech section.  Just have to know what size.  Email them and I am sure that they can tell you.  Good luck.

Holy cow! $18.95 each for those bits. Those don't look like tri-wing bits. They must be some sort of proprietary Microtech design, in which case your sources are extremely limited.
