Do you guys recomend a partially serrated blade or a regular blade? Are the two below of the same quality as the traditional leather USMC Ka Bars and is the kydex sheath equal to better or worse than the leather?

In most situations you will find that Kydex makes a better sheath than leather. Leather will retain moisture and in real "wet" environments it will start to rot if not waxed really well. Keeping a knife in a leather sheath when stored can be harmful to the knife because of the moisture. The biggest complaint from anyone about Kydex is that it will leave scratches or rubs in the blade. It is not really a big deal on a user knife but if the knife is a collector than it starts to become annoying. The other problem with this is that the rubbing makes an audible noise, that is very telltale sound of a knife or firearm being drawn.

As for Serrated or not to serrate, "Get Both"
Personal preference for me, would lean toward serrated if it was going to be a field knife. The knives made in the USA and are good knives when considering the price.
