| im trying to find a .50 and im new to the big bore world i kinda liked the "fast action" mechanism along with the overall looks of the rifle, but haven't been able to find any info on it. Is the rifle even manufactured anymore? is it worth seeking a used one? or should i look into a diff brand? Also is there good forum dedicated to .50's? thx guys |

I can't speak to the Cobb. There are many manufacturer's out there many of which have been discussed at length here. I can't say I wouldn't recommend any of them depending on your criteria except the offering of Hesse/Blackthorne/??? stay away from them. I personally went with a Ferret50 and am happy. As for dedicated boards, this board is about the best of the bunch. I joined FCSA for awhile and their technical knowledge of the platform is excellent. I just couldn't put up with all the prima donna/political BS over there.

They put a few improvements on it and are selling it as the BA50. I would suggest an AR50 or Barrett M99 32" for most folks that are interested in long range 50 shooting. The AR50 has the accuracy edge but the Barrett M99 is lighter and much easier to carry. You found one good 50 cal forum (this one). FCSA is the other good one and membership includes a quarterly magazine exclusively about 50 BMG. -David Edgewood, NM |
