I'm just a little over a year into my wait for the match grade ALS upper I ordered. For any of you who have an ALS, will the match chamber allow the use of any standard .50 BMG rounds - like the Federal XM33C? I intend to load for mine eventually, but I was wondering if it would be possible to shoot some off the shelf ammo once in a while.

I've shot PMC, Ameican Eagle, and Barrett's M33 in mine and it was snug. I didn't have to force the bolt, but there was a very slight bit of resistance in the neck. Some older surplus was a no go.

It would be a good idea to bring a rubber mallet with when you shoot. I have some talon from a few years ago that ejects just fine and some doesn't.
