Just wanted to let everybody know, I just got the call from Knesek Guns, Inc. that they are finalizing the first shipment of Nemesis rifles.  They are expected to be in the US within 60-90 days.  I still can't believe that I'm going to get one.  I was lucky enough to see one in action in Iraq.  There is not much information online about them.  There is a liitle bit on THOR's website.  I guess there are two models being imported.  The base nemesis and then one made especially for THOR.  As far as I  can tell the THOR model is decked out.

These look nicer than the AW50

What kind of price are we looking at? Hefty I suspect, but I'm wondering just how hefty.

I hear that the prices for just a plain Jane Nemesis is like this. If you have to ask, you cant afford it. I dont even want to hear how much the Thor decked out rig will cost.

Wasn't the plain Jane about  $10K?

I ask for I can afford and it looks like an interesting rig. I would like to see data on how it shoots as well. Please advise.

Hit Google for "Nemesis + rifle."   The Russian weapons site has a couple.

That's the "I" model, single shot...   the "II" and "III" models are five-shot magazine-fed repeaters...   look exactly the same, but with a magazine in the well.

If I remember what I read a few hours ago on that Russian site. That all one has to do to go from the I version to II version is to remove the single shot block and install a mag. I cant believe that a 3 or 5 shot mag could cost that much that one would not just go for a II version. Maybe there was more to it than I remember right now.

Kinda short and fat    For that much $$$$ it had better be everything and then some.

Barrel lengths run from 10.5" to 24". Not sure what the purpose is for a 10.5" barrel on a .50 cal, other than to turn the shooters brains into mush?

Very nice, but also very expensive!

It's called the "Instant Camouflage Option," Captain !       After the first shot, the shooter is covered with a 1/8" layer of sand and silt.

My MKII Nemesis  with 27.5" barrel which I bought in '07 (I personally collected mine from Chris@AMSD over in Geneva) came with the single shot loading block & 5 round mag. The polymer loading block just sits in the mag-well in place of the magazine

The MK1 Nemesis was the fixed stock version, of which there is only 1 in the UK, owned by a mate of mine.

The MKIII Nemesis had longer rail real-estate and modded fore-end furniture.

Are THOR just a reseller/dealer ?

To the OP  - Who was using them in the sandbox ?

Cheers

Steven_uk, where is the picture of that cool 15" barrel Nemesis? I found a You Tube video of it. Is that your friend's rifle? They don't seem to be very common.

Hey Steven

What the hell do they use the short barrel for?? Is there a practical application?

Apart from cooking hotdogs or toasting marshmellows, I believe that they're used in urban environments by some agencies.

With the shorty barrel and folding stock, its makes for a compact rifle, especially when slung using the provided Biathlon cups,  perfect when negotiating obstacles or climbing ladders etc

Hi Chaps
The stunning short barrell nemesis in the picture now has a new owner ME!!! . I will be using it much more than the previous owner ( it has been in secure storage for the past year or so) . I'll post pictures of it in action on the next shoot .

Hi Guys
Have had the 12" nemesis on Sennybridge range in Wales yesterday. Performance was more than expected from the shorty barell able to smash 6" tiles at 1100 yds with it.
Recoil was remarkably lower than i had anticipated and the rifle was a joy to shoot . Luckily the weather in the Brecon Beacons stayed fine all day with only a light wind and would assume performance would drop in worse weather. In the U.K our longest range at present is in Cumbria at 3000 yds , a longer barrell i feel would definately be needed for this long range probably 32 - 36" .
Overall a fantastic day with a quite superb rifle, not the cheapest to shoot and own but in my opinion definately worth a look .
I'm happy with mine
