Considering building one, who owns one? I am thinking get an RHSP now to get the "Firearm" part in case of a ban, then build it up from there as I get the parts.

With the prices they are right now you are very close to having the same money in just purchasing one (Flame Protection on). I know this is going to be argued here, but many shops have reasonable built prices right now.

I am sure that these prices are going to escalate should something happen. These are monster guns. Make sure this is what you truly want. You cant just load this up in the pickup and run over the county with it (well you can...but).

I am thinking about going to something like a Barrett semi just for the ease of getting it around. You will have to give a little more for the semi rifle. The convenience of having the semi rifle is nice.....

A m2hb is truly a gun that must be respected and cared for, as well as the semi rifle. There is just a little more to "running" the belt fed. The picture below gives you a little "size" representation. My brother and I are both 6' plus and around 300 lbs. LOL! The gun almost makes us look like normal human beings.

If you would like to discuss some different areas of the m2hb feel free to e-mail me at dmarkel     at    crothk12.org.

I have handled the m2hb in FA versions for the Gov't for about 10 months now. I LOVE IT! It's a beast of a weapon that makes the AAV shake. I can heft one up the side of an AAV pretty easy.

I know I want something 50 cal. A complete m2hb is out of my budget, although I can afford to build a complete kit starting with an RHSP then getting new parts to build the complete kit and having Ed at CWA build it. Or I can buy a barrett m99 in 50bmg....

+1 on CWA.

It most certainly is a crew-served gun, although I've been learning how to make do as an individual weapon.  When the entire assembly weighs more than I do, it is somewhat challenging, but that's part of the fun.

The real expense lies in getting the "proper" mount... ;)
