Anyone used an Eotech on a 50?  Just got my AR-50 the other day and haven't decided on a long range scope, so I was thinking of throwing one of my Eotechs to try it out at 100yds. Its my first 50 and I'm comping at the bit to get at it.

Yes. I like it; my 50 is my door-kicker, social carbine.

Here it is in recoil, with a tracer lighting up. I'm the fat one.

How many cup holders does your hide come with?

Obviously you won't want that for shooting at longer distances, but to get a taste of it--heck yeah!

I used a cheap BSA reddot on mine :)

The best part, you don't have to worry about recoil giving you a scope cut on your forehead.

Oddly, my minivan had two of them built in.

But is there enough room in the minivan to shoot from the inside out
the back? Ala "The Jackal"?  Or a bad weather shooting platform...

When I bought my ar-50 I took it home in the back of the truck, it was the
length of the bed...

Make sure the muzzle brake is clear of the tail lights. Some guy shooting off his tailgate blew his out.

I just posted a pic of mine in this thread.

It is a temporary setup but for blasting it works fine

We used one to shoot the Coast Guard 82A1CQ guns with. That is the way they wanted them tested. Their purpose was to have them sling mounted in the doors of their BlackHawks and disable the engines of drug runner boats.
We shot the test guns a lot with EoTechs and they held the required 200m zero with them.

That was actually the genesis of what you see in the picture. I wanted to use the van as a shooting platform, with the seat as the table. With the angle of the hill, the rear door (which opens up) was in the way. I popped out the seat to try prone, but the angle was still wrong. Since I had the bench out of the way, I used it for a bench.

Here is my AR-50 with Eothech 552. Worked great.

Did it work? In actual real world use I mean
