Anyone have an idea where to get a case for the Armalite AR-50?  I'd like one long enough that I don't have to remove the stock each time.

I tried to get this one www.50bmgstore.com/ar50case.htm but they're sold out and don't know when they'll be getting more in.

I'm about ready to just make one but I'm trying to save myself a little hassle.

I have and keep coming up with either the one that I tried to buy or ones that require removal of the stock.

Trust me, I've been google'n.  I probably missed something though.

Armalite will sell you the soft case if you want one and if it's in stock.

The length of the AR-50 is what makes finding a hard case kinda hard. Try Bear Track(er) cases or Kalispel as they both make custom aluminum cases for rifles.

The case from Armalite is pretty poor from reports on FCSA forums, I use the Guardforce from Explorer Products for my AR50, all aluminum, reinforced, with wheels and two carry handles, I like it, but together they probably weigh 70 lbs. Cost with FCSA discount was $189.00 I believe. They also sell the Kalispel, about $100 more, I haven't seen that one but it gets outstanding reports thru FCSA. Think about joining FCSA, only $40 year, but you'll save that in discounts and members advice in the first week probably, thay have saved me a bunch, also cost a bunch too with all the great knowledge and new tools to buy too. LOL.

Good Shooting, Keith

People were also using surplus stinger missle cases, but good luck on finding one. In addition to that they are really heavy and most people mounted then on some type of wheeled setup.

Here is another source for the ACE 50 Cal case. Comes in 60" and 66". It has extra
padding for the scope.  If you want to keep your cost down this may be the cheapest
to buy but it is not as good as a hard case.

How about a Pelican case?

I was at Acadamy yesterday seeing how much I saved on ammo last month Anyhow I was checking out the case section looking for something for my CA94 when I saw a Pelican. It's filled with foam that you shape to fit your rifle. This is the same basic I use for my M99 and I love it.

Hope is helps,
Ray

Take a look at the Tac-Force Stryker drag system.  It is available for 50 BMG in a 62" length. Available colors are black, OD, and tan.  Tac-Force Gun Cases

Thanks to all!  I ordered a Guardforce from Explorer Products.  I am already a FCSA member so I save a little over their regular price.  The AR50 should fit fine in this case although she's going to be a heavy rascal.  That's not a big deal as I don't anticipate humping this thing through the IL landscape.  I have a 4-wheeler if that becomes necessary.
