Made it to the range today.  I was shooting Barrets M33 ammo.  First shot was low to the left on the edge of the paper.  To my supprise recoil was very light.  The shot felt good so I made an adjustment.  Shot  2 felt good and I was half way to the X ring. Made an adjustment.  The guy at the table next to me, is a regular at the range so I offered him the chance to try it.  His shot was at 4 o'clock in the ten ring.  My next shot was dead center in the X ring.  About this time the game warden shows up and tells me I need to find somewhere else to shoot.  The range is next to a rural residential neighborhood and he gets complaints from them.  The govoner even sent him a letter about shooting 50 up there.  I asked if I could finish sighting in and he said it would be O.K. but not to get in the habit of brining it up there.  That fine the range is only 100 yards.

the next 2 shots were 750 Amax loaded with 221 grains of H50BMG they grouped about 1.5 inches to the right.  The next 2 shots were Barnes solids over the same load.  One shot high to the right about 4 inches the other shot in with the Amax bullets.  Then I shot 2 more of the Barret M33's.  Had one flier about 3 " at 3 o'clock the other one was in with the Amax rounds.

It looks like I'm shooting about 1.5" to the right.  There was a good breeze so I left it where it was.  My scope rings are to short so I need to get some taller ones.

I have had some invites to the local gun club.  They have a 300 yard range.  I think I'll take up the offer.
