Has anyone had trigger work done on their M99?

You have only one choice that I am aware of.

Polish the mating surface with a ruby stone, then coat with moly paste. It will help alot.

The mating surfaces between the sear and the trigger rod are the only parts you need to work over. Like nickmull said, polish with a ruby stone, moly slide paste it, and you're done.

Talk to the guys at Anzio Ironworks. I got to try out their M82 upgraded trigger at Knob Creek. They had a modified M82, and a stock one side by side, and I dry fired both. The work they did made a huge difference.  They should be able to help you with your M99.

As the others have said polishing is one thing you can do.  There is another step you can take but it's potentially risky.

My M99 always had a relatively smooth pull but it was way too long for my liking.  I contacted Barrett and their "official" response is it's not adjustable, however the tech explained to me ("off the record") that the sear link (rod) can be shortened to reduce trigger travel.  He advised I should leave at least .015" of bearing surface between the sear link and sear pivot to avoid a slam fire.  A lathe would have been the best tool to use for this mod but I don't have one.  I made a jig to hold the sear link square to the face of my water stone sharpener and ground it down.  Worked like a champ.

Currently mine is set back to .015" and its leaps and bounds better than factory.  I intend to shorten it some more a little at a time but I purchased a back up seer link just in case I go too far.

+1 I was there too, and they do some nice work.

Thank you all for your suggestions.  I'll try polishing first.
