What is the recoil of a Berrett M82 comparable to?
Thnx

The actual recoil is very little. Comparable to a standard hunting rifle or shotgun. However on the 82 the weird thing is the gun moves a bunch because the barrel moves when the gun cycles and that is a lot of mass. So even though the recoil is not harsh at all the guns dances around a bit.
The 99 on the other hand barely moves at all.

Mine has the spiked feet so I guess I don't notice the rifle moving all that much. I I am using it , I do usually have to adjust the rear monopod for follow up shots. I compare it to a 12 gauge + a bit more concussion.

A .50 is more of a push or shove than an absolute kick like a sporter weight .300 Win. Mag. or the like.

I think that it is much like a 12 gauge, high brass load.

The concussion, on the other hand, is much more fierce than that of most other weapons.
