Ok guys let me hear what you think about these scopes. I will be putting it on my Serbu. I don't shoot much maybe 100 rounds a year and nothing further than 1000 yards.

I have had a SS 20X on my AR-50 for years with no failures, but I don't have as much recoil on the AR-50 as a Serbu. But I will say this. I got a Nightforce NXS for another rifle and the difference between a $300 scope and a $1500 scope becomes very evident.

I agree.  I have a SS 10x that held up to a lot of rounds on a State Arms .50.  If it did fail, SWFA would have replaced it for free.....but it didn't fail.

Anyhow, until you save the cash to buy a Nightforce, you could do a heck of a lot worse than the SS.

Is it $1200 evident?  $1500 is more than I'm spending on my entire 50 rifle minus the scope.

I have a SS 16x that I would be interesting in selling/trading to get a 10x. I like it, but most of my shooting is <300 Yds

I was in the same situation...and bought the SS. It's holding up well on the AR-50 so far. If you have the bucks and can get a scope with a warranty "good for 50bmg" I'd roll with that.

If you dont shoot much might as well get A SS scope. They pretty decent scopes for the money.A good place to get new ones is right here:

I agree with FlameRed.  I have a SS 10x on a Rem 700 308win that is fine for shooting oh say out to 350 to 400 yards.  Lately though I have been shooting this setup out to 850 yards and really notice that the clarity just isn't there.  I have a little Bushnell 3200 10x mildot scope on another gun and for $200 I am more impressed with it than the SS.

Just my opinion though.
