At what point does it make sense to reload 50 BMG?  Is the Lee set good enough?  Any particular issues with reloading the 50?  I reload alot, however, I'm very ignorant when it comes to reloading the 50.

Thanks for any information.

If you'll look at the link right below this:
CHeaper than Dirt 50 bmg prices

The Lee Kit is $175- $150 on sale, Projectiles(surplus) $0.10- $0.30 apiece. IMR 5010 (Pulldown) $27.00 per 8lb jug, CCI Primers $0.20 apiece and Brass $0.50-$0.75 apiece.

so lets see
Lee Kit $175.00
Projectiles (1000)$100.00
Primers (1000) $200.00
powder(32 lbs) $108.00
Brass (100 pcs) $75
(remove brass cost if you already have some)

Total $658.00 (this figure will load roughly 800rds)

Cheaper than dirt you only get 150rds for more money.

Loading 50 is like every other rifle cartridge except every thing is bigger and heavier

I'm going to purchase the Lee press.
Reas the reviews on Midways web site.

Very Good press.  Use lots of lube when full length sizing or send Lee $154, two fired cases, and a bullet that you use to load and they will make you a custom set of Neck Sizer and Bullet Seater.  Worth it!!

It's up to $154 now??

Why is a new bullet seater needed?  Is it custom designed to the bullet you send them?
