What do I need and where can I get what I need to resize 50cal bullets? The unsized machine pulled are sold at big discounts. It it even worth it?

Hate to hijack this thread but Nick, do you have a linky to the Lee bullet sizer? I'm just getting into 50bmg and am making a list of reloading needs. I've searched all over Midway's site and can't find one. Thanks.

Lee will make just about any size you ask for.  These are normally associated with cast bullet sizing.  Look in the cast bullet section of Midway.  They may not carry the 0.510 but there may be ordering info for other sizes.

Dave.

ETA:  I have used the Lee dies to reform 0.308 bullets to 0.295 (don't ask why this size---long explanation.)  Also have sized 0.312 to 0.310 to fit my oversized 308 Win bore.

Will do. Thanks for the input. I've been reloading for a little while now but never with surplus pulled bullets. Why do they have to be resized? Are they deformed to the point of causing a dangerous increase of pressure? I figure it's something along these lines but would like to hear from experts.

When being pulled they will get out of round and can be dangerous.

Have any of you tried making frangible bullets out of belted magnum rifle cases and small lead shot?
