Personally I don't care for the Otis kit, once piece rods are easier to use. With that being said, go to AAA-Ammunitions website and get a bore guide from them. Then go to Lock, Stock & Barrel and look up Bore Tech. Get the 60" rod for the largest caliber that they sell, if you get a shorter one your knuckles will get to drag on the stock. While you're there get some of Bore Techs "Eliminator" brand copper solvent, there's nothing better on the market. Then surf on over to www.slip2000.com and pick up a jar of their Carbon Killer. LS&B sells all kinds of cleaning stuff, they have .50 caliber bore brushes, jags.... |
Couldn't I just use break cleaner to clean the bore? |
