The Fifty Caliber Institute just wanted to notify you that there is to be another "Special Report" on the fifty-caliber by a major network news organization, this time from NBC, their program "Dateline." As the major news organizations trip over each other to come out with "Special Reports" screaming to an unsuspecting America that "the sky is falling," this particular program is scheduled to air Sunday (June 19) at 7 PM Eastern. Being concerned over Second Amendment rights, you'll no doubt be relieved to learn that this "Special Report" has been custom-crafted for NBC by the Violence Policy Center. As the Center bragged in a recent e-mail, "The VPC worked closely with Dateline on the piece." So, you can expect a less than impartial reviewing of the facts, now that VPC is writing "news" copy for NBC. This NBC report on the fifty-caliber is coming at America because of fear by the gun-ban community that they are going to lose their "model" legislation being considered in New York state. By now, you've no doubt noticed the thinly-disguised fact that these special news reports always appear just when gun-ban legislation stalls somewhere. Perhaps this is the reason why the VPC has been forced to work ".....closely with Dateline on the piece." While the Fifty Caliber Institute continues to focus on getting the facts, not Hollywood special effects-induced paranoia, into the hands of legislators, you should know that we continue defending your fifty-caliber rights in the state of Illinois. The fate of the fifty-caliber is still pending in Illinois, as gun-banners hold back hoping to scrape up enough votes to get that ban passed into law, having been tossed aside once already. While the VPC can always count on the major news networks to give them 15 minutes of free prime time advertising whenever they need it, not to mention million-dollar funding "grants" from Hollywood starlets, the Fifty Caliber Institute has to rely on the generosity of ordinary citizens, the people actually affected by such legislation, to do its work. I wished Mr.Barrett was allowed the same amount of time as dieze was. I am sure glad I owne a Barrett 82A1 that is built by a guy that is willing to go to the TV and defend our rights. Was that rifle they kept showing one of Bob Stewerts modles? Was a little sneaky to go into a Gun shop with a hidden camera. I though there was laws about video tapping people with out there consent.
