why are the tall rings needed? Shark15, why did you have to lower the cheek piece?

If shorter rings are used, your cheek piece will be set to low to cycle the bolt (bolt handle will strike cheek piece).

I haven't had  problems with the bolt hitting. Maybe they changed the angle of the bolt handle

While putting the rifle together, my FFL order them through Sports South out of Shreveport, LA...this was three years ago and the cost was $125.00...I think. I do remeber the torgue wrench was $75.00
