Thinking about getting a 50 this year before some assclown in Congress gets a bill going to regulate them into extinction. The big question is which one to buy. My budget will be about $7k so an M82A1 is a contender. Relatively lightweight, semi-auto, reasonably accurate, makes antis wet their panties - all thumbs up as far as I'm concerned. Then I start thinking about a semi-auto M2HB. Probably the biggest, baddest beltfed mofo short of a DD or full-auto M2HB. Much heavier though, requires some sort of tripod or mount and a small truckload of support equipment and ammo, but makes antis just burst into flames. I know its sort of an apples to oranges comparison, but any thoughts or opinions on either? Anything other 50's I should be considering? |
