I get to shoot an M-2 .50 cal a couple of times a month onboard my ship and one of the things that I notice is that the sights are pretty much pray and spray due to their size and design. Fun but not very effective. I can walk the rounds right up to the 'killer tomato' (the inflatable target) at about 1200 yds but would like to get my gun on the money. The M-2 has what appears to be removable rectangular plate on the top cover. Does anyone make one with scope rails? I've seen it done before on guns with prismatic sights (old, old WWI). Just looking for something I can con the Gunner's Mates into open purchasing otherwise I'll just fabricate one. ...Now if I could just get them to qual me on the 25MM.hinking.gif |
