What type of .50bmg is required to shoot slap ammo.  I believe the gun has to be a Semi-automatic to fire these rounds.   Also what is the difference between a match grade chamber and miltarty grade.

Thanks

Depends on what kind of SLAP it is. If it's real, as in Military made it might not fit. If it's after market it probably will as it uses a smaller .30 caliber round.

You might've got the idea that it was semi only because Barrett made the M82's for the Marines with a special SLAP barrel.

Most of rifles won't chamber a SLAP round. The ones that will, an AR50 for instance, will shoot them. The problem with the brake is that the sabot could hit them on the way through and could possibly cause blockage. The next round could blow off the brake, but I doubt if a little piece of plastic could do it alone. If you are going to shoot with the brake removed I'd have a buddy standing by to drive you to the ER.

The Barrett 82s that were used by the military to shoot SLAP were chambered and marked for SLAP.
