I've decided on the Serbu BFG w/ 29" barrel.
What's the difference between the standard and angled scope mount options he offers?

The angled or degreed scope mount will give you added MOA. Depending on what Mark has it machined at 10,15,30,50 MOA will determine how much extra you'll get. If you plan on shooting out past 1000 yards and your scope doesn't have enough MOA adjustment, you'll need to get a degreed rail so that you can get out that far.

Check the MOA elevation specs for your scope, you'll need at least 60 MOA to get to 1000 yards. Remember that you want to be shooting as close to the center of your scope (in MOA elevation adjustments) as possible when you have it set up. After you figure out what you have, see what Mark offers and go from there.

Thanks! that answers a lot.
I'm obviously new to the >50 realm, what scopes do you recommend w/ 60 MOA.
Any other Serbu options I should consider?

First would be the Nightforce scope line, the NXS scopes are awesome 5.5-22x56mm seem to be the preferred choice.

Second would be Leupold Mark4 or any of the new long range tactical series.

Third would be IOR Valdada.

None of these are cheap, prices range from about $800-$1,300. The NF and Leupold have the best records for not failing, IOR is an up and comer to the market. They have been around for a long time but are just now getting noticed be shooters. I'm not saying that a cheaper scope won't work, you just have to take your chances. Some people do good with Tasco's and some don't. It will come down to what you can afford.

The only other options that I can think of would be a bipod and the "have a nice day" engraved on the muzzlebrake.

Horus makes some pretty good optics but for the price I would go for the NF NXS
