I'm not sure if this is the proper forum for this, but for those that are reloading the 50bmg what is a good press and setup needed to do an average of 20-30 rounds per week? Maybe more, maybe less. No need for the top of the line, big ass, 1000 rounds an hour, fire up the backup generator, setup. Thanks, |
| I have the RCBS Ammo Master for the .50BMG and it works great. You get everything you need from Natchez for under $400.00. I had to buy the primer pocket uniformer and I bought a different case trimmer. The one that comes with the RCBS kit is crude. I have reloaded over 500 rounds and I do not see why a lot of people think you will wear one out. It is no different from reloading rifle ammo but on a bigger scale. When I reload Military ammo that has the primers crimped, I bought a tool to remove primer from GeoAZ from Biggerhammer, it will save your sizing die from having to push out the crimped primer as well as having to resize the case all at once. I have not had to use a lot of effort to reload cases I have reloaded before. Good luck and have fun reloading the .50BMG :) |

If you are interested in another alternative to the Gracey case trimmer, may I suggest mine. The Giraud Power Case trimmer. Available in several calibers all on the same trimmer, not a special complete trimmer for just 50BMG. Its more money than the Gracey, but look at its construction and compare it yourself.
