5 pack of 30 round FACTORY FN PS90 mags for $49.99

KEEP IN MIND, it only takes couple of minutes to convert them to 50 round magazines. The spring and followers are the SAME!

Mind detailing the conversion process?

I cut one of those 10 rounders down and it never did work right. Maybe the 30's are different. Mine just didnt have the spring pressure when pushing the last rounds as a new 50 does

Yeah, but the price is ridiculous for just a base plate.
Sheepishly I'll admit to buying quite a few of those. SOOOO much easier to do the conversion then and also.....just in case I have to put them back to lower capacity if Colorado were to pass some other stupid laws. If I remember right the baseplates are like $8-$10 each.....but I got a good deal from my friend/dealer on the 30's so my total mag cost came in under $20 each.

I said you had to be lazy!  LOL.  I found some (not cmmg) for $7.50 online.  Thanks for sharing the deal, Pursuit

I don't have my mags yet, but I had a 30rd mag sitting around.

Chopped the follower and reinstalled everything, and it works great.  The little loop for the spring isn't really needed, since it's not like the spring can go anywhere.    Had to shave the follower flat, as my first attempt had a few millimeters of extra plastic and only loaded 49.

Really excited for my 5 new mags to arrive.

I'll likely never own a PS90, but I'm tempted to neckbeard a few.

I ordered 10 more as well.
Thanks for the heads up.
Most of mags are cut 30 rounders - never had a problem. Just chop & forget about it. No need for the extra steps.

Got my mags yesterday.

It took longer to load up the 50rds than it did to open them up, slice the follower, and reassemble them as 50rders.

I'm going to "Play" with the floorplate on the ten mags I've got coming.

I'm going to cut out the "loop" that the spring hooks into cut it into a SMALL base and epoxy it in place, kind of a compromise between the modification that allows 49 rounds and modifying it to hold 50 rounds. My mod SHOULD allow the spring to be hooked solidly yet allow 50 rounds.

I'll post photos if it works.

I did it the hard way.  I originally modded my 30 round mag a few years ago.  At the time, the video instructed me to epoxy the top plate with the "loop" to hold the spring onto the floorplate with a resulting 49 round capacity.

After reading this thread, I took off the floorplate and used a hacksaw to trim off the front, back and sides of the top plate.  Not only does the spring have to be able to fit around it, but the 2 legs of the follower also.  It took several trials of loading the magazine, but it now holds 50 rounds.

I would post a picture, but after loading the magazine several times, I'm not going to unload it again until I'm at the range .

It would be nice if FN or someone else would just sell a 50 round floorplate for a reasonable price.

Ordered (4) 5 packs. Came to $10.60 per mag with shipping.

I remember getting 30 rounders for $14.99 but can't recall if that was with shipping.

Good deal, thanks for posting.

I can 3D print the retainer base for those that don't want to cut the factory one.  Send me an IM if interested.

My 20 mags arrived today so I compared one to a 50.

I don't remember if I looked into this before but as you can see the 30 spring is longer then the 50. Is this common knowledge?

The 30 end is thicker then the 50 so when I grind the "20 round block" off, i'll see about grinding it as thin as the 50

IDK If I care all that much if these hold 49 instead of 50, I mean i'm not interested in cutting the spring shorter so I think i'm going to leave them real cheap 49 round mags.

That is a good deal.  I bought a ton of the AR57 magazines which are USA made and look identical to the factory 50 round mags.  CDNN had them for $9.99 each for the longest time.  These are not the asian knockoffs, there are US made and never gave me an issue.   Fit and finish, color, etc are identical to the factory PS90 mags I have.

Ordered up another 5 and they came packaged loose this time, not in factory FN packages.

But still quality, and already chopped them into 50rd mags this morning in 20 mins.

It appears this deal is no longer available. Are there any other deals on P90 mags at the moment?
