Just picked up my scar 16 today. I've read in the passed the had jam nuts behind the muzzle brake. Mine has a crush washer. So my question is how do I safety remove without damage I don't have a vise block for it yet. Any safe ways to get it spun off without damage?
Also are they sighted in from factory?

The SCAR17 has the jamb nut , not the 16. Removes like any other threaded device. I use wood blocks in a vice. The sights are usually close, but any rifle should be sighted for the ammo you are using.

Awesome thanks. Got it off with an old belt and vice.

Remember to vise the barrel not the receiver for off and on.

My 17 sights were close but need a bit of adjusting.

Will do, ended up being easy to remove. And 10-4 excited to get it out this weekend
