I have the opportunity to pick up a NIB 17S for $2375...what do you guys think?  I didn't realize these were coming down in price and I've wanted one for awhile.

In black.

Anything I should look for? (generational differences, etc..)

That is a great price, albeit for the less accurate/cool color but if you want one then I'd jump all over that.

I am assuming your are or were a former TACP?

It's true, I'd prefer FDE but the price seems great.

Yes, I have a TACP background.

LEO price is 2500. Soooooo...... Yeah, that's a good price.

Edit: FDE is more accurate.

Make sure you do it in at least 3 shades...for authenticity.

Great price, but if you really want the FDE, then I would recommend paying more for that color. It would suck to pay that much for the Black one, then regret buying it. I've leaned the hard way to Buy Once Cry Once. If I can ever afford a 2nd 17S, then I will get a Black one and SBR it.

That's a great price OP, I'd jump on that if it's what you've been looking for.

Only thing I can think of is the recalled bolts, but that only applied to certain FDE 17S manufactured last year...black is GTG!

Also, there might be slight differences in the stock assemblies, but I wouldn't sweat it.  My early FDE 16S stock rattles but my Black 17S stock feels solid and more refined...no rattles - all that doesn't matter though because they're both perfectly functional.

Dang, is that the out the door price? Any chance you can let us in on where you found this deal? I was just on post at the px, and saw that they have a 15% off sale coming up. They have a black 17 in stock that would be just over 2500 out the door. I thought that was pretty close to being too cheap to pass up.

Buy it. That's below dealer cost and FN ain't lowering their prices. Were in a market where people are dumping their "investments" from just before the last election to pay off debts, exactly the opposite of what they should be doing. From now until the end of the year is the time to buy what you are looking for.

That's a great deal.  I would inspect it in person first.  As others have mentioned - it is below dealer's cost.

They are all different, like Geissele's disclaimer on their DDC items.  Mine is pretty gold, but Ive seen everything in between that and greenish...
