So is this going to make it to the civilian market?
Been interested in it, but have not seen any new information. |

When I asked the FN rep at the NRA show this year he looked at me like I was from fucking space and told me that he knew of no plans to release it.
I hate it when companies send HR/marketing people to shows who don't even have the sense to know when they are in over their head on a question. |

This is a byproduct of hiring people who have education, but zero knowledge of the market space.
Their goal should be to set up the largest sales pipelines possible. It's embarrassing. FN lost the FAMAS replacement not on technical merit, but on stupid paperwork mistakes. Their offer didn't make sense. |
| I've wanted this for years, and would make a great big brother to my 17. I shudder to think of what the MSRP would be, and doubt I'd be able to value it at half what they will/would. I'd likely be in at the 3k-ish ballpark, I feel like this will be north of 4K though, but I can dream, and maybe I'm wrong. |

If they would price the normal 17 below 2k, which they can do, then they would wash out a lot of the other .308 options out there but they aren't smart enough for that. |

Been man handling it the past few years at SHOT. Idk if we will ever see it, that said, I'm not sure why they wouldn't release it, at least we can only hope. On a positive note, notice the name on the board behind me, it reads Scar 20s which would be the civilian name. Also, the Ballista hanging below it was finally released this year after a 5 year hold up due to the lawsuit between Remington and FN and back in January the FN guys told us they had no clue when they'd hit the civilian market, if ever. Keep your fingers crossed and maybe the Mk20 SSR will be right behind and possibly even accompanied by the Scar PDW. http://i953.photobucket.com/albums/ae18/tejasmtb_photo/25F8DF97-33A7-4846-A786-07287F9948F1.png_zpsatvgbvgj.jpeg MSRP on the Ballista is $7499.00. Doubt I'll be able to swing the price on an Mk20 SSR. https://www.fnamerica.com/products/rifles/fn-ballista/ballista/ |
