Long story short, my dad is a gun dealer out of Louisiana and I brought this SCAR craze to his attention so he is looking at trying to get a few and sell them for $2.5 - $2.6k not including tax and shipping, so if you would be interested in one at this price let me know so I can basically tell him the interest is there is he gets any.  He is looking at that mulitple gun package right now from FN to get them if he can.

NOTE:  He has none now, he is looking into the FN gun package to get some, I am just verifying for him the interest is there.

I am also looking all over for FNAR mags and if he can get any of those I will have him get those also since everyone here wants those also.

Is he already a FN dealer?

If not then he's in for a LONG wait.

To be able to get SCARs you need to be a stocking FN dealer and FN will only send you the SCARs after you receive everything else (except for the perm backordered SLPs) on their stocking dealer program.

Update:  Dad checked on this program and orders are still being fulfilled from 2008 so they are almost a year behind schedule.  The other issue is that the program requires the shotgun to be purchased also and apparently the production of the shotgun is non-existant so the hardest piece of the package to get besides the 1 year delay is the shotgun.

So in short it's a no go on this whole deal.  As a side note, he has a request in at like 5 wholesalers to get the SCAR if possible at some point in the future.  I also have him watching out for the FNAR mags.  If he can ever get either one you guys will be the first to know.  FNAR mags are $36-$42 depending on wholesaler so these damn $100 per mag prices are insane I have seen some places.

just for you guys information while your on this subject:

I'm not a ffl nor do I understand what kind of deals are offered to ffl's from Fn but I do know that a place by me, Tanners in Jamison PA, is one of the biggest Fn dealers in the US and is taking $500.00 deposits for Scars and is selling them for aprox. $2450.00 as they come in & I think there is about 150 people on thier waiting list so far. The $500.00 is refundable if it goes out past October...2009 or 2010..can't remember?

I think if it goes past December '09, you get a refund. I honestly don't see how the place is going to fill 150 SCAR orders –– that's a huge amount of dealer packages. If I remember correctly (and I may be wrong), they haven't even filled the #1 SCAR order yet.
