I have a question for those that own an older model of the TPS. I finally got around to sighting in this shotgun with the iron sights and the C-More red dot. With full adjustment on both front and back I am still shooting low. Im shooting about 8" low at 25 yards with no more adjustment.
I have been able to sight in the C-More site perfectly the issue is just the iron sights. Any ideas? Ive noticed on the newer TPS the rear rail is a bit higher than the model I have. Was this the fix to this problem? Ive emailed FN and left a message for Bob at FN but have not herd back from either. TIA. |

I found the irons absolutely useless, so I removed them. The T-1 becomes a big ol' ghost ring if the dot goes down... http://www.visuality.com/personal/armory/tps_900.jpg Very cool. I was thinking about doing away with the rear sight on mine in favor of a folding sight and an optic (T-1 would be great), but keeping the front sight. OP: Could you try using a taller front sight post? Would that help? They are AR-15 standard compatible. |

OP: Could you try using a taller front sight post? Would that help? They are AR-15 standard compatible. I talked to FN in Va today and they are aware of this issue. Its not the front base that's not high, its too high. On the newer rifles the rear rail that has the rear sight is raised about 2x as high as the earlier TPS. Its fixed under their limited lifetime warranty. |
