Ok so my local gun dealer has a FS2000 used in mint condition for 1600. now i have a problem, have to sell my one and only AR to get it. what do u guys think? what kinda groups do u get? i read one review that said 1.5" at 50yrd and that to me is really bad! i know it is a CQB rifle but would like to think i could at least be able to reach out as far as an M-4 can...

id say hell no to selling the AR. I think the AR is a hell of alot better platform than the fs2000.

There are always people who are going to say they get some absurdly small groupings but you have to keep in mind some people quote 3-shot groups instead of 5 or 10 shot groups. The FS2000 really isn't a precision rifle and the few that I have seen in person kept jamming on XM193/XM855/brass cased ammo. One person on another board even noted excessive pitting on the bolt face after a few hundred rounds.

I've started to see more and more used FS2000s for sale.

Okay, I'll play devils advocate. If I had to choose  only one based on a smaller overall size, almost perfect balance (Can be used as a large pistol). 17.4" barrel, piston upper, larger storage capacity, ease of field stripping, amadexterous friendliness, and carrying for long periods, the 2000 is what I would have. it is the new breed of super efficient 5.56 shooters. But I have both so I can say that!

There are definitely problems with the FS2000, but it's the most comfortable rifle I've ever held and that's a great price. You could sell it and make that back easy if you don't like it.

Perhaps I'm the lucky one but I have'nt  had any problems whatsoever, Gobbles up ss109 mil surp. ammo all day long. 4500 rounds and going strong. I'm slowly transitioning to 75gr rounds which is at 1.5-2" with my eotech at 100 yards.

I would buy a FS2000 if it came with the 1.6x Euro optic just to have one to play around with. It will never replace the AR15 though. The AR15 is simply more modular due to the large number of available accessories and modifications. I also love my AR15's 2-stage NM trigger versus the bullpup trigger on the PS90 (which is essentially the same on the FS2000).

Oh good lord! Sell the AR! There are tons of low cost ARs out there. $1600 is a great deal on a FS2000, if you don't like it you can resale it later for that much or more.
I have an FS2000 and it dosen't choke on any of the Radway Green or M855, the bolt face isn't pitting, nothing is falling off....
Folks who don't own or have never fired one will come here and post all sorts on nonsense about the FS2000.

I love my FS2000, but the main issues I have are; no drop free mag, no last round bolt hold, trigger isn't great and the action is hard to get to.

$1800 is a bit steep for a used black FS2000. It's cheaper than all of the new FS2000 prices though.

I just called and secured the black one (used). I have bought a few guns from them, if they say "like new" they mean it. They told me it only had about 200rds through each, a father and son bought them new and traded them in soon after.
My local gun shop has a new blck fs2000 for $2399, I'll take the used one and buy ammo with the money I saved.
