Like the title says… What is your go to recipe for slinging lead thru your m16?    More specifically, what case, powder, primer, charge and oal? I have a good amount of 55 grain hornady fmjbt with cannelure.

Thx in advance for sharing.

So I have always read that everyone is afraid of running reloads in a RR.  Does anyone have an issue with that or are people just afraid of reloads?

Yes/No. I reload for my MAC 10 machine gun. What I've done  at my third station (Dillion press) where I set my bullet on top of the case is I mounted a small flashlight that shines into the case and lets me see there is a powder charge in the case. THOSE are the only cartridges I would shoot. As for the .223 I'll just use factory ammo.

I load a little soft, mid range 223.  My current setup is 26.5 gr of CFE 223 with Remington 7.5 primers and a 55 Hornady FMJ.  It's actually an accurate load, but not very impressive for velocity.  Most mgs run fine with minimum loads, why go crazy when your just shooting dirt or steel.

My M11A1 will not run with "minimum" loads.
