I just figured out that I have been using a carbine buffer spring in my a2 stock. Is the Tubbs buffer spring better than the factory rifle buffer spring? Any recommendations or opinions would be appreciated.

No clue - can you provide a link to this Tubbs spring you're interested in?

Its a great quality product. Ive used one in a carbine tube to increase ROF and it works. If the carbine spring works for you with no FTfeeds then I see no need to change it out. Either way have fun with your 16.
