I have 2 post-sample lowers coming in soon and need a little help on the build. I was planning on one being a regular 5.56/300 BLK, which is pretty straight forward.

For the second one, I was thinking about going 9mm. Is there a difference between the semi-auto 9mm hammer and a full -auto? Do I even need a different hammer? The rest of of the conversion looks pretty simple, but this part has me stumped.

No difference in the FA versions.

Circuits,

Should the FA 9mm bolt still be "ramped" to reduce stress on lower? Thanks.

Most folks recommend it, but I've never bothered doing it to mine.

If I were building up a new unit, I'd probably buy one with a ramped bolt.

while I never use my 9mm bolt in a auto, yet (the wait).

I have broken a hammer pin with an unramped bolt in a pistol. I sent my bolt out of get ramped after that. I do not want to hurt my RR just becasue I was a lazy ass.

$50 shipped and back to my door in the same week is not bad.

FWIW, I also broke a hammer pin in my 9mm AR pistol after < 500 rounds with an unramped bolt. I would definitely get it ramped before any full-auto use.

I have busted many pins on 9mm (ramped bolt) and other blow back guns after lots of rounds.  I would just use KNS pins and not worry about it.

Just ordered a set of KNS pins to take care of any potential problems. I'll make sure I use a ramped bolt (or get one ramped) when I do the build.

Thanks for the help guys!

Both M60Joe and ADCO firearms offer this service.
