does a colt LMG barrel have any marks on it..
I need to tell if its a hesse/vulcan or not.
Also, what does the gas tube look like?

I don't have mine here to look at, but the barrel is marked in typical Colt fashion.
IIRC it's roll marked C MP 5.56MM NATO 1/7
The gas tube is straight and approx .250 in diameter.

also, the Hesse/Vulcan ones I have seen do not have the orginal LMG bipod. They have a modified M249 bipod.

And a really, really crappy handguard - no where near the real deal.

Here is a good pic of Colt LMG barrel markings.

5 digit number is unique.

Could that 5 digit # be a date code?
