Will .223 ammo work the BCG on a F/A M16??
Is true 5.56 needed since the BCG is heavier?
I ask because I hope to get an SP1 RR.

Thanks,

I reload to .223 specs and my RRM16 works great and my Bolt Carrier (Young National Match M16) is actually 1/2 oz heavier than the regular F/A BC.  14.5" barrel with an H buffer.  However my gun hates wolf ammo.

.223 works fine in mine, and I have about 2 FTF out of 100rnds of wolf with a suppressor, and almost none without. m4whore

It will work fine fine with both .223 and 5.56.

Wolf poly black box 55 gr chronographs about 400 fps slower than M193.  That means its below even .223 spec, as defined by domestic manufacturers.

I've just finished my 15th case.  About 99.9% FA.  Zero failures to cycle, feed, extract, eject, fire, whatever.

The BCGs move just fine.

Wolf will not cycle well in my 11.5" gun. I have an MGI RR to slow ROF down, and it is a little finiky on the lower powered stuff. If you have a std. weight buffer you should be GTG with most ammo.
