| I'm thinking of getting a 9mm upper for my M16. Any suggestions on who makes a good one that would be legal with both an M16 and AR? |

Only the Colt system will work in FA and RRA makes a clone. My setup is RRA upper, Hahn top-loading mag block and Colt magazines. The only work you have to do after that is ramp the bolt to slow down the hammer re-set during bolt recoil. After that you can cut barrels, add handguards, etc. until you get it how you like it. There is no gas system, straight blowback from closed bolt like an HK without the roller-locker delay. ROF is controlled by buffer and spring weight. Middle gun in pic, mine is 3-lugged for suppressor. See link for RRA uppers. ![]() RRA 9mm uppers |
| Yeah TROS makes an UZI adapter to use your UZI suppressor on the M-16. TROS |
Cool. Thanks. |
Ok, so who is Chuck? Contact info please. |
Simply NOT true. I have personally and extensively shot an Olympic upper in FA. It works perfectly every time and uses unmodified Sten mags. I personally own a RRA 9mm upper and it works fine as well- uses unmodified Uzi mags. There are two generally different 9mm upper configurations and the difference between them is either single or double feed and consequently which mags you need to use. |
