What buffer should/can be used for both .223/5.56 and .9mm in a M16 with a M4 collapsable stock?

The .223/5.56 setup will be suppressed with a 11.5" barrel if that matters.

Thanks!

I would use the heavy 9mm buffer or custom buffer even heavier and a wolf XP recoil spring and extractor spring in the .223 shorty.

Would a H3 buffer work for both?

hello. yes the h-buffer will work for both. you might want to run the hydraulic buffer also. friend of mine runs it in his 10 inch m-16. slows it down quite a bit. i run a 7 inch kitty kat on my m-16 with just a standard buffer. runs about 1000 rpms. like a chainsaw. everyone tells me to slow it down, but it runs 100% all the time and is a ton of fun. kirk

The MGI buffer works great.
