A friend had one in the late 90s.

I can't remember the brand. It sort of made the M11 look like a Famas (subjectively, it wasn't a copy)

It didn't affect the cyclic rate and it still used regular mags.

Pretty sure it was all steel. No folding or collapsing stock, the butt, fore end and I believe sights were all 1 piece.

I know it's not much to go on...

I think this may be what you're describing:



I don't know what it's called or who made it.  I do not recall seeing it described in accessories sections of either "The Terrifying Three" or "The MAC MAN", but I may have missed it.
