Ok, I got my SBR working finally. Thanks to the advice given here, I upgraded the extractor sping and it runs like a champ now. The problem that Im having now is the terrible accuracy at 100yds. I put a TA33 acog on top and decided to see what this thing could do. I shot about 50 rounds and the average group was 3"-5"!! I then put the suppressor on and the groups got even bigger....What on earth is causing these horrible groups?!?!?!
P.S. Im shooting an 11.5" cmmg barrel, DD 10" FF rail, RRA chrome bcg, sopmod stock, and DD trigger group. I even switched lowers and shot it with a NM 2 stage trigger and the groups were the same O yea, the gun accidently fell of the shooting bench onto the ground. The gun was fine, but I had a surefire light with arms mount on it and the damn arms mount broke!! I though arms was good quality? It only fell 2ft and the damn thing snapped!!! PLEASE HELP!! |

I was using speer gold dot soft points. They arent match ammo, but they have always been a solid 1"-1.5" ammo for me. Another thing i was experiencing out there is that the groups would never hit in the same place twice. They might be high and right for the first group and then the next would be low and left then the next hight an left, and all this with out even moving the acog. Its a true acog, not a nock off and its in a larue mount to boot. And fwiw, I am able to shoot MOA with my other AR and hand loads.
All of these groups were shot from the bench using sand bags also. |
