Im a big fan of Magpul so I would definetly give the MOE forearm a chance.  I wonder how it handles the heat.

spending what kind of money? it's a pretty bare bones rifle. i'd estimate it cost around $1000 including the stamp proving that SBR's are for everyone

I like it.  And, there's nothing wrong with the MOE handguards, in my opinion.  I personally prefer them over the standard handguards.  Two of my 5 uppers are set up with MOE HG's, and when the rifle length ones are released, it'll most likely be 3/5.
