I'm down to selecting the last components for my first SBR.  I understand that the most common problem with SBRs is that they are overgassed.  The solution is to use a heavier buffer and F/A bolt carrier.  I have a Spikes ST-T2 buffer and I am considering a Young NM bolt carrier.  The Young bolt carrier is heavier than a standard F/A bolt carrier.  My concern is that the combination of these two components will result in too much weight.  What say you?  The rifle is a 6.8SPC with 10.5 Noveske barrel.  ETA:  Just noticed this was post #500

Every rifle is different, but it sounds like you should be good to go. Worst case, you could always go with a lighter buffer, a cheap and easy fix.

I've had good results using an M16 B/C and Colt 9mm buffer. I use these in my 7.5, 10.5, and an H2 in my 11.5". But it will run with a 9mm buffer.
