| So i'm going to build a semi mg34 starting with a stripped reciever. Where do I find a manual on how to put all the parts together? I figured this would be a good place to ask |

Id visit the MG42 forum, it's dedicated to the MG34/42 and there's many helpful threads and people over there with semi building. www.mg42.us Plus one on mg42 forum thats where I learned to build my Semi MG42. Before I built the MG42 I considered the 34, the draw back to the 34 is it only shoots 8mm which is getting more expensive and harder to find, whereas the 42 will shoot .308 with a .308 barrel and a new feedtray, which both install in a few minutes tops, which are both readily available and cheap. On a side note my Semi42 is for sale with extras im me if your interested. |
| The 34 is a tricky bastard. Even after all the mods it requires some fine tuning to get it running. Ive got one built on a reweld receiver and use the TNW mods. I also had to weld the ramp on the sear to get a better angle for the rollers. My thread on it is on the MG42.us site. Go there and weapons guild. Between those 2 places you should have your up and running |

[/quote] Actually BRP sells .308 barrels, boosters, upper feed pawls and feed trays for the mg34. I shoot 8mm Romainian Surplus, which at the moment is cheaper than .308 in bulk |

Looks like they are new manufactured barrels, etc. They didn't use to exist, when I did my 42 build. I knew 8mm would eventually dry up so went with the 42. Now that they make conversion stuff for the 34, wish I had went that route, although its a much more picky gun. |
