My MAC 10/9 would not function in semi auto. I was also having issues with bolt going home.
My MAC 10/9 is a SWD Reweld. I took pictures and had Sam from www.practicalpage.com look at it. I was on the phone with him and he told me I was missing the feed ramp for a double stack magazine. I was also having problems with my retaining wire sitting on top of my trip lever. Sam told me it is either bent or a semi auto retaining spring. Sam told me he can weld a double stack feed ramp in and put in a new retaining spring. Sam told me my MAC left the factory built for single stacked magazines. It came with all double stacked magazines, one Cobra Magazine, 4 Made in USA magazines, and four new Walther magazinnes in a four cell pouch. It also came with two bolts, one for single stacked and one for double stacked magazines. Sam's shop is in Glenn Bernie MD so I sent in my travel request form to the ATF yesterday. Sam suggested I ship it to him via Fed Ex. I may do that and go down and pick it up when fixed and my ATF Travel Request is approved. After Sam gets my MAC running I am going to have him do an UZI conversion. This will allow me to use cheaper UZI magazines, swap out my upper and shoot .45 ACP also since it is registered in 9mm & ,45 ACP. Sam is also building two types of UZI drum magazines in .45 ACP that will hold 25 rounds and 45 rounds. Sam also sent the ATF a MAC 10 .22 LR conversion for their approval. He will be using UZI .22 LR magazines. This UZI conversion would give me more options for using my MAC 10/9. Also I got an email from Lage that my Slow Fire Upper is ready. I will post pictures and keep everyone updated on my MAC repairs. Dane |
