Question for anyone who has the KX3.

What improvements if any did you notice from an A2 FH to the KX3?

BTW, this would be going on a 10.5 SBR.

Less flash...more bang...and it looks cooler than a birdcage..... They also do get ALOT of build up in the chamber and on the cone and need to be taken apart and cleaned every so often. I missed the flamming pig version by about a month..but still love mine. I use mine on a 7.5".

You mean more flash, less bang?  It directs the concussion directly forward and sounds about like a 16" gun IMO.  Lots more flash w/ some brands of ammo.  Heavy out front and adds a few inches.  Just sold mine, but it was nice to have when shooting with a group or at a match.  The blast wasn't as bad on those nearby with the KX.

+1 on all that. Just sold mine too. If it weighed 1/2 as much I would have kept it. Too long for my taste too. I can run my suppressor with a few more inches added and a few more ounces. They do work for their intended purpose.

What exactly is the intended purpose?

Do they work as a booster like the Krink cans or just to direct blast downrange?

A little of both.  Since they do throw more junk back into the works, they must provide some backpressure.

They will help with cycling. I use a 9mm buffer in mine also. I just decided to go back to the can on my 10.5.

shadowcop, what did the 9mm buffer do for you? They are heavier right?

I will eventually get a can since the whole reason for getting the 10.5 is to get a can. Didnt want to put a can on my 16" and have the rifle a mile long.

I had the brass coming out with gouges on it. The 9mm buffer slowed the cycling enough to fix the gouging. It also makes the rifle feel "smoother". It has a push to it. Muzzle rise also decreased. It just made it feel better all around.
