I plan on getting this upper HERE and was wondering if I need any special buffer to make it run right (ie 9mm or Enidine Hydraulic)  First SBR, so any help would be great guys.

Hard to tell until you try it. I run a Colt 9mm buffer on my 10.5. It's been very reliable. Cycles smooher and less muzzle flip.

I've used the stock (carbine) buffer and had no problems with my 10.5 inch...

I currently use a 9mm buffer and it's nice. I've also used an H buffer which works fine as well.

Check your brass. I had gouges in the rim of mine until I put the 9mm buffer in.

I have used a standard carbine buffer, a hahn sub-caliber buffer and an Enidine Hydraulic buffer in my AR15/9 SMG.

By far, the Enidine Hydraulic is the smoothest and most controlable.  I would compare the felt recoil to a MP-5.  With the Hahn sub buffer, it felt like someone was shaking me and I'd eventually get a headache from shooting.

If it was a semi auto I would think any sub-caliber buffer would be fine though.
