Ironic, that Post 249 is a question about M60's.

I know of 4 within a few hours of me.  I have shot 1 of them and personally seen the other three being shot.   As far as price I think they are around $30K-$35K or so.  A lot depends on the make and configuration.

There are hundreds of 'em, prolly thousands. They are one of the more common beltfeds. As noted, they go for $30k-$35k each. How many do you want?

Thanks guys I really wasn't looking to get one  (I wish I could) It was to settle a debate at work on what one would cost.

If you keep an eye out on the boards, you can find one every so often for less than $30,000

The cheapest one I've seen over the past 12 months has been for $25K.  I think that anything under $30K today is a decent deal.

I picked one up about 1.5 years ago in "mint" condition for $27,000 and prices have been flat since.  Of course, I needed to bring it up to "E4" spec, which cost another few thousand.  Parts, E4 or otherwise, aren't cheap.  Quite fun to shoot, and the ROF is nice and low, which is a good fit for the current cost of 308.

A good question.

I filed a FOIA with ATF over a different make/model MG.  They said that their computer system didn't allow for searches by make/model/etc. and quoted (IIRC) about $2,000.00 in fees to have someone conduct the search.

You can ask, but you'll have to pay to know.

Incidentally, there may be no way to know.  Aside from the fun of searching for M60, M-60, M60E3, M-60E3, etc., you'd also have to put up with the clowns who filed a Form 1 for a "Cong Killer" or whatever.  (You are making a new firearm with a F1, so you can name the firearm whatever you want.)

Got to see this with a Model B Uzi conversion that was Form 1'ed as a "Jewmatic."  And no, I only wish I was kidding.

I recently 'found' a tripod like the one above in a bunch of scrap gun bits I took in trade.  I thought it was a 1919 tripod but then noticed the different pintle.  It has the T&E fitted.  What is the difference between the M60 tripod and the 1919 tripod?  TIA.

The number designation.

The M2 1919 tripod and M122 M60 tripod are virtually the exact same thing.  (leg bolt hole spacing change & flat transitions from leg support to the head of the tripod)  Shit, you'll really have to look at.

I paid under $25k for mine, NIB, about a year and a half ago. It's in E4 configuration now, which puts the overall price under $30k now.

$2k for having research assistants sift through records, I guess...  Apparently it's not as easy as sitting down with an Excel spreadsheet and sorting by model name.

A F1 makes a new gun; technically, you can call it whatever you want.  It's just that most people keep the existing model or do something that makes sense.  (It also means you don't have to engrave any new name!)

The rail topcover and heavy weight fluted barrel look awesome.  Oh hell, I'll probably need to set aside another $3000 or so for those parts now.

We have a gun store here in Las Vegas called American Shooter Suppy. I remember seeing an ad in the paper (obviously, years ago): M60 SALE !!!!! $1800 each.
Of course I didn't have $1800 at the time or for many years after.
