Is it possable to change a pistol into an SBR?
All I read about when SBR's are changed(upper) are from rifle lowers.
Is it possable (after leagly obtaining a Tax Stamp) to turn a Carbon 15 9mm
pistol into an SBR?
Any replys would be apreciated...

Here is a pic I found from a google image search. I'd be willing to bet it is someone from this site so I take no credit for this sexy beast.

Pistol to rifle is not a problem, but once a rifle always a rifle is the mantra I always hear.

Any of these could have started life as a pistol, but the one in the middle is the only one that can go back to one.  Really, there is no difference in the lowers other than the way they are registered at birth...so to speak.

Doing it should be no problem at all.

I'm contemplating this myself....my question, if my understanding is right, I can change a pistol into a rifle config ( meaning pre tax stamp..) as long as I don't assemble the pistol upper to the lower while a stock is in place. Correct?  Or, would that be treading on thin ice?

Thanks, Boo

I'm getting ready to form 1 an open bolt Mac 10 pistol as an SBR.
