3D printed projectiles engage the rifling and spin just as they should without damaging the driving band.  However, having said that, I am using a different driving band configuration than is shown in the pics in this thread.  YMMV

There is no need to use the exact same driving band configuration for 3D printed projos as is used for the metal pushers.  The reason the metal pusher driving band is shaped the way it is, is so the metal can deform into the rifling.  Plastic, being WAY softer, doesn't require that.  I use solid driving bands and they work just fine.
